Somerset United Methodist Church to Hold Christmas in August Sale

SOMERSET — The Somerset United Methodist Church is having its First annual Christmas in August Sale on Saturday, Aug. 25, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

There will be vendors and church tables. There will be a limited amount of space available for rent inside or outside for $20.

The church will have its traditional Not-So-Silent Auction with donations from many local businesses to bid on. Rada kitchenware, toys and Christmas items new or slightly used, plus a variety of household items, will also be for sale. In addition to candles and books, there will be 10 cent greeting cards. Vendors will be selling Tupperware, La La Roe Clothing, knitted items and much more.

The church’s kitchen will be open for lunch, offering hot dogs and tuna salad sandwiches at reasonable prices. People can bring their appetites and enjoy the great prices as they get that early shopping for the holidays started, or even done, well in advance of the big day.

To reserve a space/table, vendors can call (774)991-1225 or (508)252-4285. The sale will be held at Almy Hall, located at 841 Read St. in Somerset (which is adjacent to the church). The church hall is handicapped accessible.

Proceeds from the sale will benefit mission projects and church programs.
