Pastor (Mrs) Rachael Odesola has made a special appeal to Christian women to love God irrevocably in order to operate in God’s joy.

The woman of God made this call at the just concluded Sisters’ Convention, at the Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG), FCT Province 7, Abuja.

She explained; “When you carry the love of God in your heart, you will be filled with God’s joy and his blessings. God, being God has a full package of inheritance for his children both spiritual and physical.

“When we talk of God’s fullness, we are talking of the fullness of his spiritual and material blessings, His power, riches, provision, abundance, health, success, His favour and measureless grace.’’

The cleric revealed that joy always comes from God’s presence, whether things were going on well or not, “but happiness has to do with what you have at that point in time.’’

“The world we live in is full of challenges but God has promised us fullness of joy in the midst of them all,” Odesola added.

Prior to the closing ceremony, Pastor (Mrs) Comfort Sule, the wife of the Pastor in charge of FCT Province 7, the convener of the convention, enjoined women to forget about their troubles and focus on God to receive joy.
She told the congregation; “As we forget about our troubles, praise Him and pray from the depth of our hearts, the heathen will not be able to ask who our God is anymore.”

Another Pastor; Ruth Ogun, who spoke on “Building a Joyful Home’’ urged women to be obedient to the word of God and submit to their husbands.

Ogun said building a joyful home takes efforts, diligence, commitment and devotion.

“It not an accidental or wishful effort, it must be planned, systematic to achieve God’s intent for a joyful home,’’ she added.

Deaconess Eunice Olugboye on the other hand urged the women to always hope and trust in God in whatever situations they were waiting for, noting that “to wait simply means standing firm before the Lord with grace and not giving up.”

She admonishes; “if women must wait on God, they must get rid of the work of the flesh from their system. These work of the flesh include adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, among and others.”

Other activities at the convention include health talk on Breast and Cervical Cancer, delivered by Dr (Mrs) Modupe Adeyinka; cervical cancer test was also administered on women, among other activities.
