This is the reason the movie, “The Young Messiah” tells the story of Jesus Christ at age seven as he and his family depart Egypt to return home to Nazareth. This movie was told from his childhood perspective and the storyline follows young Jesus as he grows into his religious identity.

The movie is directed by Cyrus Nowrasteh and co-written by Betsy Giffen Nowrasteh and Nowrasteh. It was based on the novel Christ the Lord: Out of Egypt by Anne Rice. The film stars Adam Greaves-Neal, Sean Bean, David Bradley, Lee Boardman, Jonathan Bailey, and David Burke.
It is expected in the theatres on the 11th of March 2016.
