Lawmakers Should Sacrifice Part of their Salaries for the Poor – Methodist Bishop
Methodist Bishop Rt. Rev. Oladapo Babalola of the Methodist Church of the Trinity, Tinubu, Lagos, Nigeria has asked that leaders in Nigeria and lawmakers should cultivate the spirit of commitment and sacrifice by taking out from their salaries to care for the poor.
The Methodist Bishop made this request while celebrating the John Wesley Day 2021 in Lagos. It was organized by the Council of Knights of the Methodist Church Nigeria, Lagos Chapter.

While lamenting about the number of people losing their lives to poverty daily in Nigeria, the Methodist Bishop said, “Why can’t they for once sacrifice part of their huge earnings.
“I was privy to information sometime ago that our legislators in Nigeria are earning more than other lawmakers in the world.”
