God First Ministries (Illumination Assembly) Lagos has supported the masses with gift items and free medical services.

It was part of the super compassion Sunday of the church with the theme doing what Jesus did led by Bishop Isaac Idahosa.

Idahosa said the gesture was in recognition of the fact that Christ is all about love and service towards others.

According to him: “Jesus came to express the love of the father and He commanded us to do likewise.

“There is nothing too big for us to do for one another while following the footsteps of Jesus Christ who loved us unconditionally that He gave His life for us.

“If we believe God, we must live the life of God. So many people are not love oriented. They don’t know how to show love.

“Love is beyond prophecies. Prophecies without love are vanity. This is the reason why God laid it in my heart to preach love, not only to preach love but also to demonstrate love by helping the needy.

“We are committed by love to give food materials, drugs materials for old and young, give money to as many that has business proposal.

“The church is also committed by love to support as many that can drive buses to give each of them one bus. When hunger is eradicated from the land crime will have no space.

“I preach not to condemn anybody in this country but I preach to save the lost.”

Bishop Idahosa also urged political leaders to stop living for prosperity but pursue posterity because they will give accounts to God and man someday.

According to him: “They should be able to utilise their influence positively and think of what they want to be remembered for. They can stock all the money but one day they will die and leave the money behind.”
