‘Cut Down Horns of Limitations’

The Minister in charge of Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Okota, The Rev Uwem Akerika, has assured his members that every force that is limiting the lives of men and women will be cut off by the power of the Almighty God.

He gave the assurance during the prayer and deliverance session of the church.

The cleric said: “Beloved, welcome to another great season of mighty acts of God. In this season, God intends to cut down horns of limitations in the lives of men and women through His word and effective prayers. As it was in the time of Zechariah, heaven is set to send carpenters from above to cut down horns that scatter and limit destinies; horns that have scattered and limited people from raising their heads. Praise God.”

Quoting Psalm 75:10, “As for me, I will declare this forever; I will sing praise to the God of Jacob, who says, “I will cut off the horns of all the wicked, but the horns of the righteous will be lifted up,” the Rev Ekarika said the above scripture reveals that every horn has effect in human life. The effect of horns of righteousness is exaltation; for righteousness exalts a nation.

However, Zechariah explicitly reveals that the purpose of horns of wickedness is to scatter (Zechariah 1:19) and to limit (Zechariah1:21). In the same vain, it is worthy of note that satanic horns are always waging war against the holy people of God.

He pointed out that God has not left His people without hope. “He so loved the world that He gave His only son, so that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life- John 3:16. To those who believe in Jesus, God has given them the power to subdue powers of this world including horns of limitations.

“In getting ready to cut down horns of limitations, I will like to point out few things that might have prompted Zechariah to see vision about the horns. These may likely help us to understand why we need to live by God’s word and engage in warfare prayers in times like this.

“Today in Nigeria, satanic horns are scattering homes, communities, businesses, etc. Instead of economy rising, heads are rather rolling on the ground. Businesses that strived well are now struggling to survive. In families, horns have delayed projects with discouragement and frustration. We are now surrounded by enemies whose shepherd sticks have turned to AK47. In the same vain, professional liars are bribed to work against, frustrate and cover up the truth,” Ekarika said.
