And Herod was highly displeased with them of Tyre and Sidon: but they came with one accord to him, and, having made Blastus the king’s chamberlain their friend, desired peace… Acts 12:20.
Those were wise people – the people of Tyre and Sidon. When the king got “highly displeased” with them and closed the official diplomatic doors against them, they made friends with an insider, the chamberlain, a manager of that king’s household. That became a door for reaching the same destination. There are often many ways to some destinations, if we are wise enough to see them, and humble enough to use them. That chamberlain was comparatively an ‘ordinary’ person, a mere ‘domestic’ manager, but he was a strategic key to a great agenda.
Identify the chamberlains today that can still get you where someone seems to have shut their ‘official’ doors against you. Be wise.
