The Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN has urged Christian leaders to work with the Federal Government towards promoting National Unity.
The new president elect, Reverend Supo Ayokunle made this appeal while speaking with newsmen in Abuja.
Reverend Ayokunle who also doubles as the President, Nigerian Baptist Convention said there was the need for unity among religious bodies and government at all levels to surmount the countryÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s challenges.
Ayokunle emphasised the need for Christians not to relent in praying for the success of the present administration.
Subsequently, he commended the process that led to his emergence as the new CAN President and pledged to work with all Christian and Non-Christian Organisations for National Development.
