40 Students Were Matriculated in Catholic College of Education

The Catholic College, Oswald Waller Catholic College of Education, Shendam in Plateau State which was established 4 years ago, celebrated matriculation ceremony for 2016/2017 Academic Session with 40 students. “The institution was not only established for academic attainment but also to inculcate moral discipline into the students” said by the Provost of the college, Prof. Mathew Sule. According to the Provost, 11 out of the 15 courses offered in the university have been accredited by the National Commission for Colleges of Education. In addition, “there are also qualified lecturers with pristine credentials to help instill knowledge and skills to the students,” he said. He charge the matriculating students to study hard and imbibe good morals while expressing joy that the first graduates of the school were rated among the best at their various compulsory teaching practice stations.

The Plateau Commissioner for Secondary Education, Mr Alex Mairiga, encouraged the students not to be found engaging in any examination malpractice. He also stressed that “whatever they learn is for them but what they steal can’t be defended”.
