At least four people have died and 27 injured in a report released by the Egyptian government.Â The report says it was as a result of a huge fire that eruptedÂ MondayÂ at a private hospital in Alexandria province.
Magdy Hegazy who is the Deputy Health Minister, confirmed the incident when he said in Cairo that the injured persons were said to have suffered from burns and smoke inhalation.
He revealed that the fire fighters used 10 fire trucks to extinguish the blaze that broke out inside the radiology department at Al-Shorouk Hospital, located in the Glim neighbourhood of Alexandria province.
About 20 ambulances were used to rush the victims to nearby medical facilities.
The Local Head of Civil Protection Force, Brigadier Omar Gaballah, maintains that the cause of the fire was still unknown.
